In our first hands-on week of the SEAL project, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work!
We cleaned up four beaches in Sinop: Kumkapı, Kurtkuyusu Taşlık, Bayram Boğazı, and Sarıkum, collecting a large amount of waste. But instead of just throwing everything away, we sorted the trash - separating what could be cleaned and reused for the art pieces from what could be properly recycled. 🎨🌿

🐦 While cleaning Sarıkum, something unexpected happened: one of our volunteers, Adem, who is also a veterinarian, rescued an injured pigeon! He performed a quick check-up and provided first aid right on the beach, then safely transported the bird to the wildlife center for further care.
And our work did not stop there! We also completed our first dive in Karakum, where we collected trash from the sea floor. A big step for the project and a powerful reminder of what lies beneath the surface.
This week showed us that change starts with action - and we are just getting
started! 💥💪
